Biography:
It's most people's first impression that Rocky is an incredibly stupid horse. It might not be fair to say that, though--will you be as bright as him in the twilight of your life? Unlikely! Unfortunately, though, the tales of Rocky becoming easily distracted or forgetting the most simple of commands is not a tall tale. This poor boy is not exactly on top of his game as he was in his youth--not that he was ever really on top of anyone's game.
But, a horse does not have to be a genius to have a warm heart. Even though he no longer trains children to ride as he used to, he still loves their attentions dearly--anyone's attention though, really. He is never short on affection, which has made him known as the 'sweet old codger' that is easily bribed with a fistful of carrots. Of course--how could we forget his love of carrots? In fact, any food? His brain might be failing him but his nose certainly hasn't, so trying to sneak food past him is a tough feat. It's always smart to feed him last, or risk there being no treats left for anyone else. Really, how could you refuse to give them to that adorable face?
Though it's tough to say how much longer he will be around, Rocky is always in search of a home, now that he is retired from his training 'career' at the Lawrence Equestrian Center. He doesn't seem to mind not having a true family, though--he's always happy just where he is.
