Biography:
Dusty, Dirty, Pig-Pen, Mudpie; just a selection of the nicknames Dusty Dame has inherited over the years. She's a bit of an oddball; she doesn't seem to take kindly to being cleaned, and every time she is she immediately runs off to find a mudhole to roll in. Dusty is rarely seen without a coat of dirt, and an absolute muss of a mane that she absolutely HATES having brushed. Anyone tempted to try and fix her appearance is just as likely to get coated in mud, themselves.
However, Dusty is a very able-bodied horse. Though she is not very skilled in eventing, she has the perfect easy-going attitude of a beginner's riding horse, as well as a typical comfortable Tennessee Walker gait that is suitable for riders of all ages. Overall, Dusty is a very sweet, happy mare. She can be rather timid at first, but she quickly grows attached to those around her--and she never forgets a face.
A bit of history: When Dusty Dame was first foaled, she was purchased by the matriarch of the Bedlington family, a resident of Riverview. Before she was moved there, she spent a short time living at the Lawrence Equestrian Center, where she met and befriended Margo Kane. When she finally was old enough to move, Dusty went to live with Mrs. Bedlington--but after 8 years, Mrs. Bedlington passed away due to illness, leaving Dusty's future uncertain. She currently resides at the Simlous Lake Horse Ranch in Twinbrook while her family decides what to do with her.
